We are so happy you are here! The story of how June Moon Apparel came to be has evolved into something much more meaningful than its original conception.

Amy and Teresa have talked about building an online boutique for years, but it never came to fruition. During that time, Amy thought up business names that would be meaningful for her. June is when she and Gary started dating and Moon was in the name of the street where they bought their first house together. When researching June Moon, she was amazed to find out that June moon was an actual thing…a big, beautiful pink hued moon in June.

At the beginning of 2023, Teresa’s employer of 17 years decided to down-size and she found herself without a job for the first time since she turned 16. Teresa found herself thinking about their Mom, who they had lost the year before, and decided to just go for it. She called Amy one morning and said, “So, remember when we talked about starting a boutique. What do you think about that?”. Amy was in!

As Teresa and Amy started to think about what it would be called, they both agreed that it should be something that honored their Mother. Amy remembered her June Moon idea, and even though it had nothing do with why she created that name in the first place, it still worked! Mom’s birthday is in June, as is Teresa’s. Moon was also a word in the street name of not only Teresa and Andy’s first home, but their second as well. Also, and most importantly, just like the unique moon color of a June Moon, Mom was just as unique and beautiful. With that, Amy and Teresa had named their business…June Moon Apparel.
